The next time someone asks you why LGBT Pride Marches exist or why Gay Pride Month is June tell them “A bisexual woman named Brenda Howard thought it should be.”
Bisexuals are a part of, and apart from, the gay/lesbian movement.” We are certainly a part of the greater gay/lesbian community. We have overlapping communities and struggles. However we are also apart from the gay/lesbian community in that we have our own culture, traditions, celebrities, leaders and holidays.
